Opening a course from Teaching → Recorded courses takes you to its workspace: a header with the course's facts, a View only note, and four tabs. The course was attached to your campus by NSDP and belongs to its teacher. Your campus reads it here and can give it to its own students for free; editing, pricing and publishing stay with the teacher and NSDP.
The header
- The header is marked Attached by NSDP and shows the cover, title, teacher, when the course was last updated and its status (Draft, Published or Archived).
- The facts strip counts Modules, Lessons (with how many are published), Students and the Price.
- The View only note under it reminds you that the course belongs to its teacher.
- There is no Submit for review, Withdraw from review or archive button for a campus.
Setup, Information, Pricing and Release
These screens are where a course is built: the launch checklist, the course details and cover, the prices and the release schedule. They belong to the course's teacher and NSDP and are not shown to a campus. An old link to one of them opens the course's Curriculum tab instead.
Curriculum tab
- The course's outline, read-only: its modules and lessons in the order students take them, with each lesson's type and whether it is published.
- Nothing can be added, moved, renamed or deleted here, and lessons can't be opened for editing. The teacher and NSDP make the changes.
- Students only ever see published lessons.
Students tab
- Lists only the students your campus gave the course to. Students who bought the course, or were enrolled by NSDP, are not shown to a campus.
- Give to a student gives the course free to one of your own campus's students (students registered, and not dropped, in an on-site batch at your campus). The course must be live. The student gets an email and free access; there is no payment or invoice, and nobody earns from it.
- Open a student to see their progress lesson by lesson. Take the course back removes the access your campus gave; the student's progress and assignment submissions for the course are deleted.
- Figures: Enrolled, Active this week (studied in the last 7 days), Average progress, Completed and Certificates, counted over the students your campus gave the course to.
- Search by name, email or student code; filter by status and progress band; sort; and Export CSV.
The steps and the messages are in Recorded courses attached to your campus; the register itself is explained in A course's students and their progress.
Comments tab
The course's lesson discussion, to read. You can open every conversation and mark threads read or unread for your own bookkeeping. You can't approve, reject, reply or delete: the course's teacher and NSDP do that. Waiting for review shows how many comments are waiting for them. All campus comments opens the campus-wide Comments page filtered to this course.
Preview tab
Shows the catalogue card and the outline as students see them, with how many lessons are visible out of the total, the language and the level. Only published lessons appear; draft lessons stay hidden.
What a campus can't do
- Create a recorded course. There is no New course in the campus portal.
- Edit the course's outline, lessons, information, price or release schedule.
- Publish, unpublish, archive, submit for review or withdraw from review.
- Approve, reject, reply to or delete comments.
- Give the course to a student who is not one of your own, or remove a student your campus did not give it to.
- Take the course as a student.
- Attach or detach the course. Only NSDP does that.
- Give or take back a course while the campus is suspended.

FAQ
Who changes an attached course, and when do students see the changes?
Only the course's teacher and NSDP change it; your campus can't. Students see a change once it is live, which for most courses means after NSDP has approved it. Until then they keep the approved version.
Why can't I open the course as a student?
The campus portal has no student-login preview. Use the Preview tab to see the catalogue card and the outline students see.
Something in the course is wrong. How do we get it fixed?
Tell the course's teacher or NSDP. A campus can't edit an attached course.
The Give to a student button is missing.
The campus is suspended, so giving a course and taking it back are paused until NSDP reactivates it. You can still read everything.
A course we used to see is gone.
NSDP detached it from your campus. Students your campus already gave it to keep their access.
