Reading your campus payout figures

What each figure on Payouts → Overview means: Available, In reserve, In a request, Paid out, your share, the reserve period, the next release and every column of the earnings register.

The Overview tab of Payouts shows what your campus has earned from paid seats in its in-person batches and where each rupee stands. This guide explains every number on it, so you can check a figure before you request a payout or raise a question with NSDP.

The four figures at the top

Every share your campus has earned sits in exactly one of these four boxes (refunded shares sit in none). Together, the four add up to everything you have earned that was not refunded.

FigureWhat it countsThe small line under it
AvailableShares whose reserve period has ended and that are not claimed by a request. This is the most you can ask for right now.The minimum payout. The box is highlighted when you have reached the minimum and no request is open.
In reserveShares still inside their reserve period. The next release: how much becomes available and on which day, or Nothing waiting.
In a requestReleased shares claimed by your open payout request. The open request's reference (for example CPW-7K2Q9M), or No request open.
Paid outShares NSDP has already paid to you.… earned in total: every share recorded for your campus that was not refunded, whatever its state.

Available

  • A share moves into Available on its release date automatically. The figures are worked out again each time you open or refresh the page.
  • When you send a payout request, the shares it claims move from Available to In a request, so Available drops straight away.
  • If a request is rejected or cancelled, its shares return to Available.
  • You can request a payout only when Available is at least the minimum payout and no other request is open. See Campus payout requests and their statuses for the other conditions.

In reserve (pending)

Each new share waits for the reserve period after the sale before it can be withdrawn, in case the student is refunded. The period is set by NSDP; by default it is 14 days. The Reserve period box on the Overview tab shows the number that applies to you now.

  • The release date of a share is fixed when the share is recorded: the payment date plus the reserve period in force at that moment. A later change to the reserve period does not move dates already set.
  • Next release shows the earliest day on which shares unlock and the total of all shares unlocking that day.
  • A refund during the reserve period cancels the share. It then shows as Refunded in the register and is left out of every figure.

In a request

Shares claimed by your open request stay here while NSDP reviews the request and prepares the payment. When the request is paid they move to Paid out. Because shares are paid whole, the amount in a request can be slightly higher than the amount you typed, by at most one sale.

  • Paid out is the total of shares included in requests that NSDP has marked Paid. Each paid request shows NSDP's payment reference on the Requests tab.
  • Earned in total (under Paid out) adds up Available, In reserve, In a request and Paid out. Refunded shares are not included.

Shares cancelled by refunds

When a student's seat is refunded before the share has been paid out, the share is cancelled. In the register it keeps its row, with the status Refunded and a dash instead of a release date, and it no longer counts in any figure. If the share was claimed by your open request, the request shrinks by that amount and a note records the adjustment. If every share behind a request is refunded, the request is cancelled automatically.

How the share is computed

Only paid seats in in-person batches held at your campus earn a share. Online batches, recorded courses and free seats do not. A share is recorded when the payment is confirmed: after an online payment, or when NSDP confirms a bank-transfer payment.

  1. Step 1: Find the amount it is calculated on

The Calculated on line of the Overview tab says which amount NSDP uses. By default it is Amount paid (after discounts). NSDP may instead use Amount paid, less affiliate commission or List price (before discounts).

  2. Step 2: Apply your share percentage

Your share is that amount times the percentage shown under Your share, rounded to the paisa.

  3. Step 3: Pay your teachers

Your campus pays its own teachers for on-campus classes out of this share; NSDP pays them no separate share on these seats.

  4. Step 4: Check the cap

Other shares and fees on the sale are never reduced to pay the campus. Your share is never more than what the school keeps from the sale, so on a heavily discounted sale it can be smaller than the percentage suggests. Such rows are marked capped.

ExampleAmount it is calculated on70% share
Seat paid at PKR 7,000 (2 months × PKR 3,500), no affiliatePKR 7,000PKR 4,900
Seat paid at PKR 7,000, affiliate commission PKR 700PKR 7,000 (affiliate commission is not taken off by default)PKR 4,900
Discounted seat paid at PKR 3,500 where the school keeps only PKR 2,000PKR 3,500PKR 2,000 (capped)

The Your share, Reserve period, Calculated on and Next release boxes

Overview panel

Your shareDefault: 70% (set by NSDP)
The percentage of each paid in-person seat your campus earns now.
Reserve periodDefault: 14 days (set by NSDP)
Days a new share waits after the sale before it can be withdrawn.
Calculated onDefault: Amount paid (after discounts)
The amount of the sale the percentage is applied to.
Next release
The next day shares leave the reserve, and how much unlocks that day. Shows Nothing in reserve when no share is waiting.

The Next step box beside it tells you what to do now: follow your open request, request the available amount, or why you can't request a payout yet (with an Add a payout account button if you have none).

The earnings register

Below the panel, the Earnings register lists one row per paid seat, newest sale first, 15 rows per page. Filter it with All, Available, In reserve, In a request, Paid out or Refunded (a drop-down on phones).

ColumnWhat it shows
SaleThe programme (live class) and the batch the seat was bought in.
PaidThe date the payment was confirmed.
Seat priceWhat the student paid for the seat.
Your shareThe share amount, with the percentage and the amount it was calculated on underneath, and capped when the cap applied. Refunded rows show Refunded.
StatusWhere the share stands (see below).
WithdrawableThe release date for a share in reserve, Released once it has passed, or a dash for a refunded share.

Share statuses

  • In reserveInside the reserve period. It becomes Available on the date in the Withdrawable column.
  • AvailableReleased and not claimed. Counts towards your Available balance.
  • In a requestClaimed by your open payout request.
  • Paid outIncluded in a request NSDP has paid.
  • RefundedThe seat was refunded before the share was paid out, so the share was cancelled.

Why Reports can show a different number

Reports & analytics → Revenue shows Campus share earned for the chosen date range, counted on the day each sale was made. It includes shares in reserve and shares already paid out, and leaves out refunded ones. Payouts shows balances as of today. The two answer different questions, so they only match when the range covers every sale.

Troubleshooting

A student paid but no row appears.

Only paid seats in in-person batches held at your campus earn a share. Check the batch is in person and at your campus, and that the payment has been confirmed (a bank transfer counts only once NSDP confirms it). No row is recorded when the share works out at zero, or while NSDP has campus earnings switched off.

Why is a share smaller than the percentage suggests?

Either the amount it is calculated on is lower than the seat price (an affiliate commission or a discount), or the cap applied because the school kept little from the sale. The row shows both the base and capped when the cap applied.

Money is available but I still can't request it.

Available must reach the minimum payout, you need a payout account whose method is still offered, and no other request may be open. The Next step box states the exact reason.

The page says Campus earnings are switched off.

NSDP is not recording a campus share on new sales at the moment. Shares already recorded stay in the register and can still be paid out.

A figure looks wrong. What should I do?

Note the sale (programme, batch, date) from the register and open a dispute in the Payout category. If it concerns a request, start from that request's Raise a dispute about this payout link.
