Payouts & money

How campus payouts work

Your campus earns a share of every paid seat in its in-person batches. Learn how the share is worked out, why it waits in reserve, the minimum payout and how a payout request moves from NSDP review to payment.

When a student pays for a seat in an in-person batch held at your campus, your campus earns a share of that sale. Shares collect on the Payouts page. Once a share has passed its reserve period you can ask NSDP to pay it out to the campus's verified bank account.

The three tabs

TabWhat you do there
OverviewSee your four balances (Available, In reserve, In a request, Paid out), your share terms, the next release and the earnings register with one row per paid seat.
RequestsFollow every payout request, reply to NSDP's questions, cancel a request that is still waiting, and raise a dispute about a payout.
AccountsAdd, edit and remove the bank accounts and wallets NSDP pays into, and pick your default.

How your share is worked out

  • Only paid seats in in-person batches at your campus earn a share. Online batches, recorded courses and free seats do not.
  • The share is a percentage of the amount shown under Calculated on. By default that is the amount the student paid, less any affiliate commission; NSDP may instead use the list price or the amount after discounts.
  • The teacher's earnings and other deductions are never reduced to pay the campus. Your share is never more than what the school keeps from the sale, so on a heavily discounted sale it can be smaller than the percentage suggests.
  • Each share keeps the percentage it was recorded with; a later change by NSDP affects new sales only.

Worked examples and every figure on the Overview tab are explained in Reading your campus payout figures.

What happens to a share

  1. System

    In reserve

The share is recorded when the payment is confirmed and waits for the reserve period, in case the seat is refunded.

  2. System

    Good outcome: Available

The reserve period has ended. The amount counts towards Available.

  3. Campus

    In a request

The share is claimed by your open payout request.

  4. NSDP

    Good outcome: Paid out

NSDP has sent the payment that included this share.

  5. System

    Stop / exit: Refunded

The student was refunded before the share was paid out, so the share is cancelled.

Requesting a payout

  1. Step 1: Verify the campus first

The campus verification includes its bank account; payouts go only there.

Sign in to open this screen
  2. Step 2: Choose Request payout

The button unlocks when your available balance reaches the minimum and you have no other request open.

Sign in to open this screen
  3. Step 3: Enter the amount and pick the account

The amount must be at least the minimum payout and no more than your available balance. Add a note for NSDP if it helps.

  4. Step 4: Send the request

It goes to NSDP for review. You can follow it on the Requests tab.

Every field of the request form, the full list of messages and what to do about each are in Campus payout requests and their statuses.

    NSDP is making the transfer.

  5. NSDP

    Good outcome: Paid

The money has been sent. The request shows the payment reference so you can match it on your statement.

  6. Stop / exit: Rejected or Cancelled

The request is closed. Any shares it claimed go back to your available balance.

  • You can have one request open at a time. Send the next one once the current request is paid, rejected or cancelled.
  • You can cancel a request only while it is still With NSDP or NSDP needs information. After approval, contact NSDP instead.
  • If a seat in your request is refunded before payment, the request shrinks by that share; if nothing is left, it is cancelled.

FAQ

Why can't I request a payout?

The Payouts page tells you the reason. The usual ones are: the available balance is below the minimum, you already have a request open, the campus and its bank account are not verified yet, NSDP has paused campus payout requests, or the campus is suspended.

Where do I see which sales earned a share?

The earnings register on the Overview tab lists each share with its batch, sale amount, share and status. Reports & analytics → Revenue shows sales over time.

A payout looks wrong. What do I do?

Choose Raise a dispute about this payout on the request. The dispute opens under the Payout category, linked to that request, so NSDP can see the details.

Does our share come out of the teacher's pay?

No. The teacher's earnings are worked out as before and never reduced; the campus share comes out of what the school keeps from the sale.
