A teacher reaches your batches only through the access you give. First the teacher must be linked to your campus: put them forward on Teachers → Requests and NSDP approves them (or NSDP links a teacher it already has). Then, on Teachers → Batch access, you choose what they may do in each batch.
What you can give
| Access | The teacher can |
|---|---|
| Take attendance | Take the roll call for each class of the batch (until the register locks, 7 days after the class) and see the edit history. |
| Class work | Add and mark quizzes, assignments, exams and study material for the batch on On-campus class work. Their work goes to that batch only. |
| Announcements | Post announcements to the batch's students. |
| Discussions | Read and answer the batch's class questions. |
| View students | See the batch's register (students and their marks) without changing it. |
| Mark batch complete | Put the batch forward to NSDP for completion once every class is held or cancelled and every register is taken. |
Giving a teacher access
Step 1: Open Teachers → Batch access
Sign in to open this screenStep 2: Choose the teacher
Only teachers linked to your campus are listed.
Step 3: Find the course and the batch
Use Every batch to cover all of a course's batches at your campus, or a batch's own row for one batch. A batch's own row wins over Every batch.
Step 4: Give access and tick
Give access starts with Take attendance and View students; tick or untick the rest, then Save.
FAQ
Why can't I change the course instructor's access?
The instructor who teaches the course always has full access to its batches. Give other teachers the access they need for the batches they help with.
Can I give access to an online (Zoom) batch?
No. Batch access covers your campus's in-person batches only.
The Save button is missing.
Your campus is suspended: access can be viewed but not changed until NSDP reactivates the campus.
