Your teacher profile tells students who you are and tells NSDP how to reach you and what you can teach. It has seven sections. Each field is marked either Shown on your public teacher page or Only NSDP staff see this.

Editing your profile

  1. Step 1: Open Profile Settings

Or choose Edit Profile on the dashboard.

Sign in to open this screen
  2. Step 2: Fill in a section

Change any field. The section shows Unsaved, the preview on the right updates, and a save bar appears at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Step 3: Choose Save changes

Only the sections you changed are saved. You see Saved and the completeness ring updates.

  4. Step 4: Or choose Discard

Every unsaved change is dropped and the form goes back to what is stored.

Details from your application

The first time you open the page, empty fields are filled in from your approved teacher application or your campus's teacher request: phone, city, subjects, qualification, links and availability. A note at the top says how many. They are suggestions and are not saved until you choose Save changes. Once you have saved a section, it is never filled in again, so a field you clear stays empty.

Profile completeness

The ring at the top shows how complete your profile is, with a label: Needs work, In progress, Strong or Complete. It counts what you have saved, not what you are typing. Each section shows a Complete tick when all of its checks pass. Completeness is a guide. To send a course for review you need a photo, a headline and a bio of at least 50 characters, plus your identity on the Verification page.

FAQ

Do profile changes go to NSDP for review?

No. They are saved and shown straight away.

Who can see my phone number, address and CNIC?

Only NSDP staff. They are not shown to students, are not on your course pages and are not sent to the NSDP website.

I closed the page before saving. Is my work lost?

No. What you typed is kept on this device for 7 days. Open the page again and it is restored; choose Start over to drop it.

Why are some fields already filled in?

They come from your approved teacher application. Check them and save; nothing is stored until you do.

Where will students see my bio?

On the public detail pages of courses you teach, and on your teacher page on the NSDP website.

The page shows figures like Courses, Reach and Review Queue. Where do they come from?

They are the same totals as your dashboard: your courses, their enrollments, courses under review and comments waiting for you.
