Rejected teacher requests, resubmitting and the 3-attempt rule

If NSDP rejects a teacher you put forward, you can correct the request and resubmit it. Each candidate gets at most three attempts; a third rejection is permanent.

When NSDP rejects a teacher request it tells you why. Read the reason carefully: a missing document, an unclear qualification or a missed interview can often be put right, and you can resubmit the same request with the corrections.

What a rejection looks like

  • An email, Teacher request not approved, with NSDP's message, which attempt it was and how many attempts remain.
  • On the Requests tab, the card shows Rejected on 12 Sep 2026 · attempt 1 of 3 · 2 attempts left, NSDP's reason (or No reason was given.) and a Resubmit button.
  • The Needs your action figure and filter include rejected requests you can still resubmit.
  • Attempt history on the card lists every earlier rejection with its date and reason.

Resubmitting

  1. Step 1: Open the rejected request

On Teachers → Requests, choose the Rejected or Needs action filter and find the request.

Sign in to open this screen
  2. Step 2: Choose Resubmit

The resubmit page shows the reason from NSDP and how many attempts remain, including this one. The form opens with the details you sent last time, and every step is open.

  3. Step 3: Fix what NSDP asked about

Update the details, add missing documents or references, correct links. See The teacher request form, field by field for the rules.

  4. Step 4: Check what changes

The review step has a What changes in this attempt box: You changed 3 answers in Documents & references. NSDP sees the updated details.

  5. Step 5: Add a note (optional)

Up to 1,000 characters: what you changed, or why NSDP should look again.

  6. Step 6: Resubmit to NSDP

The confirmation says Request resubmitted with the attempt number. NSDP reviews the request again from the start, and you get a Teacher request received email.

What each status means

  • Rejected · attempt 1 of 3Resubmit when ready; 2 attempts left.
  • Rejected · attempt 2 of 3Resubmit when ready; 1 attempt left.
  • Rejected permanentlyClosed for good. The card says Closed for good · rejected on all 3 attempts.

Rules worth knowing

  • Resubmit, don't start again. While a rejected request can still be resubmitted, a brand-new request for the same person is refused and you are pointed to the existing request. This keeps the attempt count honest.
  • Only a rejected request can be resubmitted, and only when nothing about it is still open with NSDP.
  • If NSDP asks for more information instead of rejecting, that is not a rejection and doesn't use up an attempt. See Answering NSDP's questions on a teacher request.
  • The reference stays the same across attempts, and earlier decisions stay on record.
  • Resubmitting runs the same duplicate checks as a new request, so another open request for the same CNIC or email blocks it.
  • While your campus is suspended, Resubmit is hidden.

FAQ

We think the final rejection was a mistake.

Open a dispute under the Teacher category and explain why. The portal itself can't reopen a permanently rejected request.

Can another campus put the same person forward?

The permanent block applies to your campus. Whether the person can work elsewhere is NSDP's decision.

NSDP gave no reason.

The card says No reason was given. Contact NSDP with the reference before resubmitting, so your next attempt addresses the real problem.

Is there a time limit to resubmit?

The portal doesn't set one. The request stays resubmittable until you use your attempts.
