Students can write to you privately from their own portal Inbox about a recorded course or live class you teach. Those conversations land on your Student messages page. A student always writes first: you answer, but you cannot start a conversation from here (to reach every student, post an announcement or send an email instead).
Answering a message
Step 1: Open Student messages
The list shows each student, the course or class, the last message and when it was sent.
Sign in to open this screenStep 2: Find the conversation
Use Search conversations to filter by the student's name or the course.
Step 3: Open it
On a phone the conversation fills the screen; Back to conversations returns to the list. Opening it marks it read.
Step 4: Write your reply and send
Enter sends; Shift + Enter starts a new line. The student reads it in their portal Inbox.
